Austin Motor
Company discovered the Healey day before the opening of the "Earls
Court Motorshow" in the year 1952 at the show-booth of the Healey
Motor Corporation. The Austin Healey 3000, also known as the "Big Healey", was produced between 1959 and 1968. The Healey 3000 was the follow-up to the successful 100/4 and 100/6 Healey's. The 3000 was the first Healey fitted with power-assisted brakes and disc brakes on the front wheels. The 3000 was to be the last "big" Austin Healey. 6 cylinder
in-line engine Austin Healey 3000 Mk IIa, year 1963. Colour red with a blue leather interior and blue carpet. This Healey 3000 MK IIa is in excellent condition and the car drives fantastic! The Mk IIa (also called convertible) was the first Healey 3000 model with the easy folding soft top and the roll up windows. these features are combined with the beautiful early dashboard giving a lot of leg room. The colour combination red/blue is rare (we never saw it before) but we like it! The automobile sports wire wheels and an overdrive. This
