The Volvo
Amazon was introduced in the year 1957 and was produced until 1970. The
model is officially known as the Volvo 120 series. The Volvo Amazon was
designed by Volvo chief designer Jan Wilsgaard. Four cylinder
Volvo B18 B engine Volvo 123 GT, year 1966. Colour red. Black rally seats and an aluminium plated floor. This automobile was fully restored/overhauled and rally prepared for the 2006 Amsterdam-Beijing rally. Costs nor effort were saved to built the perfect and most reliable rally car. The car finished in Beijing without any problem. Originally this Volvo 123 GT was sold new in Switzerland. Short description of the preparation: modified suspension safety petrol tank, completely new and improved electrical system, enhanced cooling system, roll over cage, overhauled standard engine with overdrive, storage boxes, comfort rally bucket seats and much more. |
