Technical data

The Jaguar C-Type won in 1951 and 1953 the 24-hours Le Mans race, which immortalized the name of Jaguar.
For its technology, the C-Type was based on the XK 120, but the chassis/body shell was constructed of a steel space frame with  thin aluminium body panels.

The Proteus C-Type shown here is a very exact replica of the Jaguar C-Type. The Proteus replica was built under auspices of Jaguar Cars Ltd., and carries the original Jaguar badge.
