The Jaguar MK I and MK II are the most characteristic Jaguar saloons. Almost everybody recognizes the model unmistakably as a Jaguar. 

The MK I was introduced in the year1955 and was built until  the year 1959. In the year 1959 the MK I was replaced by the MK II. The MKII was dressed up with a more luxurious interior and the exterior showed some changes like a bigger rear window and a slightly restyled front. 

The MK I was a powerful car with a high top-speed of 118 mph. (190 km/h). Power was provided by the legendary XK engine which gave Jaguar victories at Le Mans races in the years 1951 and 1953 (3.4 litre version). The MK I was built with choice of two engine capacities: 2483cc./120 bhp. and 3442cc./190 bhp.
