September 24

Today we added a photo reportage of a beautiful Facel Vega restoration. For a client we restored a scarce 1964 Facel Vega Facel 6 cabriolet to top condition! The car has also been added to the Facel Vega model overview.

Last Friday CineCars presented a beautiful video on the firm of  Amicale Facel Holland / Classic Job. The video is an introduction to the company and the people behind the firm. Hans Ruhe and Job Brouwers tell their stories about the make Facel Vega. In the film you will see the just restored Facel Vega FV 2B and a very original Facel Vega HK 500 in action! June 27

On 21 and 22 June we were present at the Concours d'Élégance Paleis het Loo in Apeldoorn. Amicale Facel Holland had arranged a stunning collection of rare Facel Vega automobiles which competed in a special Facel Vega class. On show were the Facel Vega FV1, FV2B, FV3B, HK-500, Excellence, Facel 2 and Facel 6. The class winner was the magnificent black 1963 Facel Vega Facel II which we restored in 2009/2010. We added photo reportages of three current Facel Vega restoration projects to our restoration pages. Of all three projects we present the mating of the restored chassis and body work. You can see the restoration of the 1958 Facel Vega FV3B, the restoration of the 1960 Facel Vega HK 500 and the restoration of the 1962 Facel Vega Facel II.

On Saturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 June 2014, you can visit us at the Concours d'Élégance Paleis het Loo in Apeldoorn.

At the 'Concours d’Élégance Paleis het Loo' Amicale Facel Holland arranged a stunning collection of rare Facel Vega automobiles which will compete at the concours in a special class. Expect the Facel Vega FV1, FV2B, FV3B, HK-500, Excellence, Facel 2 and Facel 6!

The 11th 'Concours d’Élégance Paleis het Loo' will be held in the majestic palace gardens of 'Paleis het Loo' in Apeldoorn the Netherlands. New and unique in this eleventh edition is the inclusion of the 'basse cour', the 'royal square' in front of the palace, to show and judge the fine automobiles. The organizing committee has traced some really remarkable automobiles which have not been at the concours before. Amongst others Renault will present a unique 40CV and Maserati will exhibit a few very special thoroughbreds from their rich history.
The concours further more features a special 'Etceterini’ class (small Italian coachbuilders), an Edwardian class and much attention will be given to Bentley, Special Coachwork and Gentleman sports cars. Maserati will celebrate their 100th anniversary and Renault will place their beautiful history in the spot-light. The palace will also be open for visitors to have a look at the beauty and class of the stately life of the old Dutch Royal family.

In the picture below you see on the right the Talbot Lago T150 SS Teardrop Coupé which was ‘Best of Show’ in the 2012 edition. Pictured on the left is the fabulous Renault 40CV which will be present in the 2014 edition.

June 10, 2013 - We added some photo's of the 1958 Facel Vega FV3B which is being restored in our workshop. This Facel Vega was originally owned by Prince Charles of Belgium. The chassis is ready after full rebuild!

October 18, 2012 - Faithfull visitors of our site are well aware, that Hans Ruhé started a co-operation with Jasper Beukenkamp some time ago.

It is herewith that Hans Ruhé communicates, that Mr. J. Beukenkamp has left the Company on the 17th of October 2012 and hence is no longer involved in the activities of Amicale Facel Holland B.V.

May 2, 2012 - We added a rare and historically important Lagonda LG6 DHC to our sales collection. This fabulous Lagonda was fully restored by us 3500 miles ago. The automobile is in stunning top condition, concours!

Electric power steering for Facel Vega automobiles.
In cooperation with the renown power steering specialist EZ Power Steering we have developed a electric power steering system for FACEL VEGA automobiles. Electric power steering system is available for all 8 cylinder models (FVS, HK-500, Excellence, Facel II) and the Facellia, Facel III, Facel 6.. The power steering system is invisibly fitted at the steering column underneath the dashboard. This Power steering system is an enormous update for Facel cars which are not fitted with power steering already. The system is also perfectly suitable to replace the original hydraulic power steering system of your Facel Vega. From the start of the development in 2010 until this day we have accumulated a lot of experience with the system. The system is highly regarded by our clients. They are impressed by the improved and comfortable steering experience of their Facel automobiles.

Restoration projects at AFH

New reportage: 1958 Facel Vega FV3B, 5 L Chrysler Poly V-8, automatic. The chassis is finished after full rebuild. The bodywork has been smoothened to perfection in the body shop. After that the body has been perfectly painted in the original factory colour “Bleu Jean Bart” (very dark blue). The chassis and the body have recently been mated.

New reportage: 1960 Facel Vega HK-500, stripped and the body and chassis were taken apart. The bodywork is mounted on a special very rigid support frame and almost fully being reconstructed. From the front scuttle to the rear almost every lower panel had to be reconstructed: full floor, sills, inner wings, rear scuttle, boot floor and the spare wheel tub. Parts of the rear wings were renewed and have been perfectly lined up with a beautiful straight rear bumper. The body work restoration and the chassis restoration were completed. Recently the body work and chassis have been mated.

New reportage: 1962 Facel Vega Facel II, the automobile was fully stripped. Body and chassis detached. The body has been sand blasted with extreme care. After the blasting process a lot of rusted parts came to surface. The body has been reconstructed completely. Newly made sheet metal parts have been fabricated and were perfectly welded in place. The body work restoration and the chassis restoration were recently competed. Chassis and body work have been mated recently.

1956 Facel Vega FV2B, 5,4 L Chrysler Hemi engine, manual gearbox, torch red with black (mostly original !) leather interior. This is the oldest Facel Vega registered in Holland and it has a nice historical license number. This car is nearly completed and is for sale too.

1958 Facel Vega FV4, 6,4 L Chrysler Hemi engine, manual gearbox. Black with 'rouge vif' leather interior. The body and chassis of this car have been mated together some time ago. The car is currently being built up.

1963 Facel Vega Facel II, the chassis is fully rebuilt to better than new condition. The sheet metal work on the body has been finished. Currently the body is being smoothened to perfection in the body shop. This in preparation for the paintjob in the factory colour “Torch Red”.

1964 Facel 6 Cabriolet, the car has received a perfect new paintjob in the colour "Bleu Facel Irisé”. Currently the car is being built up. Many parts have been renewed.

1975 Bristol 411, this very special automobile car has undergone a full restoration of the body and chassis. Currently the car is in the final phase of the rebuild.

1959 BMW 503 Coupé, completed restoration. The car has been run in and 'fine tuned'. A magnificent automobile.
