In the year 1965 the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow saw the light of day, at the same the Bentley sister model was introduced; the Bentley T. The Rolls Royce Silver Shadow was a true revolution within the conservative company. The automobile was designed with a unitary bodywork construction, independent suspension all round and disc brakes all round.
The supposed conservative clientele did not have any problem with the modern Rolls Royce; The Rolls Royce Silver Shadow saloon (model I & II) was to become the best selling Rolls Royce ever. Over 30.000 were sold in twelve years time.
In the year 1970 the upgraded Silver shadow II was presented. The engine became a larger cylinder capacity and was upgraded from 6230 cc. up to 6750 cc.
