The
Porsche 911/ 993 Turbo was built between the years 1995 and 1997. After
Porsche ceased the production of the 911/ 964 Turbo customers had to
wait over a year before the new Turbo model was presented. Just like the
other 911/993 models the Turbo was also 80% changed and updated compared
to it's predecessor 911/964 Turbo. Helped by the new powerful body
design Porsche was able to welcome many new customers and the existing
Porsche clientele approved the new model immediately. The exterior was
redesigned and was given a more muscular appearance, the suspension was
drastically updated and multi link rear wheel suspension was
incorporated which was derived from the "Weissach construction" used in
the Porsche 928.
