De MG M-type Midget was the first of the legendary MG Midget models. The MG M-type Midget was introduced in the year 1929 and it was the first affordable sports car for the mass market. The MG- M-type Midget was technically based upon the contemporary Morris Minor. The Minor chassis was slightly altered and the suspension was lowered. The small four cylinder engine featured an overhead camshaft. The camshaft was driven by a vertical spindle which also connected to the up right positioned dynamo. The MG M-type Midget was a light weight sports car with great road holding, additionally the car was a real looker! From 1929 until 1932 a total of 3253 MG M-type Midgets have been built.
