The MG TC was
the first new post-war MG. The TC was introduced in 1945, and based on
the pre-war TB, it was very similar. A major improvement to the TC was
the larger interior, which was increased by 10 cm. The design was
similar to the pre-war TB, with swept separate wings, large 19-inch wire
wheels and a folding windshield. four cylinder
engine MG TC EXU model, year 1949. Colour black with a red leather interior and a beige soft top. This special MG TC is in concourse condition! The automobile was fully restored and overhauled by a renown Dutch MG specialist. a very comprehensive restoration file is present including a photo reportage. Recently this car was given a 'Classicar Shine & Protect' Protech paint protection treatment. EXU model: this model was built in 1948 and 1949 for the busy streets of Los Angeles in the USA. these models were fitted with bumpers and chrome overriders to protect the vulnerable wings. (The bumpers look very much the same as the later MG TD versions). The EXU models were also fitted with smaller headlamps and different rear lights. the teil lights were lined up with the top of the petrol tank. in these two years a total of 449 MG TC EXU models have been built. Not many original EXU models survived; many owners deleted the EXU specifications restoring the cars. This MG TC EXU is 100% original! This is one of the most beautiful MG TC's in the Netherlands and probably the only original EXU model! This
classic car was on offer at Smiths - Veglia
