This collection of championship winning GT sportscars was
presented at the Essen Motorshow, held from November 30 until
December 9, 2001. A remarkable overview of championship GT
cars every classic (sports) car enthusiast has to see!

	In this picture you see how the GT worldchampions were presented at the Essen Motorshow, a startgrid filled with winning GT's as it did never occur in the real world. We "switched" the cars headlamps on for a more dramatic atmosphere ;-).
*Ferrari 375 MM, GT worldchampion 1953*
	Winner of the first GT sportscar wordchampionship 1953. Wins: ADAC 1000 kilometer race on the old Nürburgring and the 24 hours race of Spa. Technical data: 12 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 4500 cc. engine-power 340 bhp.
*Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, GT worldchampion 1955*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1955. Wins: a.o. The Mille Miglia, the Tourist Trophy and the Targa Florio. Technical data: 8 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3400 cc., engine-power 300 bhp.
*Ferrari 857 ,GT worldchampion 1956*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1956. Alongside the 857 also the Ferrari's 860 and 290 MM were raced. Wins: a.o. The 12 hours race of Sebring. Technical data: 4 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3400 cc., engine-power 300 bhp.
*Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, GT worldchampion 1958*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1958, 1960 and 1961. Wins: a.o. ten of the twenty-one world championship races, the 24 hours race of Le Mans in the years 1958, 1960 and 1961. Technical data: 12 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 2953 cc., engine-power 300 bhp.
*Aston Martin DBR/ 1-300, GT worldchampion 1959*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1959. Wins: a.o. The ADAC 1000 kilometer race on the old Nürburgring, the 24 hours race of Le Mans and the Goodwood Tourist Trophy. Technical data: 6 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3000 cc. engine-power 260 bhp.
*Ferrari 268 SP, GT worldchampion 1962*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1962. Wins: a.o. The Targa Florio and the ADAC 1000 kilometer race on the old Nürburgring. Technical data: 8 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 2600 cc., engine-power 265 bhp.
*Ferrari 250/275/ 330 P, GT worldchampion 1963 - 1964*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1963 and 1964 Wins: a.o. six of the eight most important races in 1963 and 1964 including the 24 hours of Le Mans in both years. Technical data: 12 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3300 cc., engine-power 320 bhp.
*Ford GT 40, GT worldchampion 1968*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1968. Wins: a.o. the 1000 kilometer race of Spa, the 6 hours race of Watkins Glen, the 24 hours race of Le Mans, the 1000 kilometer race of Monza and the 500 miles race of Brands Hatch. Technical data: V8 engine, cylindercapacity 5000 cc., engine-power 410 bhp.
*Porsche 908 LH, GT worldchampion 1969*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1969. Wins: a.o. Targa Florio, ADAC 1000 kilometer race on the old Nürburgring, the 500 mile race of Brands Hatch, the 6 hours race of Watkins Glen, the 1000 kilometer race of Monza and the 1000 kilometer race of Spa. Technical data: 8 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3000 cc., engine-power 350 bhp.
*Porsche 908.03 Spyder, GT worldchampion 1970*
	In 1970 Porsche won the worldchampionships in several groups with the 908.03 and the 917. The 908.03 Spyder was only used on tracks with many corners like the Targa Florio and the 1000 kilometer race on the Nürburgring. De 908.03 won both races. Technical data: 8 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3000 cc., engine-power 350 bhp.
*Porsche 917 K, GT worldchampion 1971*
	There were two versions of the 917: the 917 Kurzheck (K) and the 917 Langheck (LH). GT sportscar worldchampion 1971 Wins: a.o. The 24 hours race of Daytona, the 12 hours race of Sebring, the 24 hours race of Le Mans (LH), the 1000 kilometer race of Buenos Aires, the 1000 kilometer race of Monza, the 1000 kilometer race of Spa. Technical data: 12 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 5000 cc., engine-power 630 bhp.
*Ferrari 312 PB, GT worldchampion 1972*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1972. Wins: ten of the eleven world championship races. In 1972 Ferrari won its last GT sportscar worldchampionship. From 1953 Ferrari won the GT world championship 13 times... Technical data: 12 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3000 cc., engine-power 300 bhp.
*Matra MS 670, GT worldchampion 1973 - 1974*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1973 and 1974. Wins: nine of the ten world championship races. Technical data: 12 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3000 cc., engine-power 410 bhp.
*Alfa Romeo T33TT, GT worldchampion 1975*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1975. Wins: seven of the ten world championship races. Technical data: 12 cylinder engine, cylindercapacity 3000 cc., engine-power 430 bhp.
*Porsche 935 (group 5) worldchampion 1975*
	Marque worldchampion 1975 (group 5). Wins: a.o. the 6 hour race of Mugello, 6 hour race of Vallelunga, 6 hour race of Watkins Glen, 6 hour race of Dijon. Technical data: Six-cylinder turbocharged boxerengine, cylindercapacity 2857 cc., engine-power 690 bhp.
*Porsche 936 (group 6) worldchampion 1976*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1976 (group 6). Wins: five of the six world championship races and the 24 hours at Le Mans. Technical data: Six cylinder turbo-charged boxerengine, cylindercapacity 2100 cc., engine-power 500 bhp.
*Porsche 956 en 962, GT worldchampion 1982 - 1986*
	Porsche has won the worldchampionships in 1982, '83 en '84 with the Porsche 956. The Porsche 962 won the worldchampionships in 1985 and 1986. Wins: The Porsches 956 and 962 were dominant in the group-C world championships and they won at Le Mans from 1982 until 1987. Technical data: Six-cylinder turbo-charged boxerengine, cylindercapacity 3000 cc., engine-power 750 bhp.
*Sauber C9 Mercedes, GT worldchampion 1989*
	GT sportscar worldchampion 1989. Wins: seven of the eight world championship races. Technical data: Eight cylinder turbo-engine, cylindercapacity 5000 cc., engine-power 720 bhp.
