Technical data
The very
beautiful Lancia Flaminia series was build between 1957 and 1970. The
Lancia Flaminia berlina as introduced first and was followed by a few
extraordinary good looking coupe, convertible and sports models which
were designed by Touring, Pininfarina and Zagato. The Flaminia
series was at first equipped with a 2500 cc. V6 engine fitted with one
double choked Weber carburettor. Shortly thereafter the Flaminia models
were fitted with uprated 2800 cc. engines and the most powerful versions
were fitted with three double choked Webers. (3C in the Super Sport
Zagato). Next to the
Lancia Flavia the Lancia Flaminia series should generate good sales
figures for Lancia to improve the financial position of the firm. The
Flaminia contained very much state-of-the-art techniques and was very
complicated to build. This made that the Flaminia series was very
expensive and not many cars were sold. The Flaminia Super Sport Zagato
was even more expensive, only the very rich enthusiast could afford to
buy this jewel. V6 engine (60º) |
