In the year 1963 Lancia presented the Fulvia saloon model. Two years later, in the year 1965, they introduced the Fulvia coupe. The Fulvia coupe has a very characteristic design, created by Lancia's own design studio. The Fulvia coupe is a real compact sports coupe as only the Italians are able to create. Characteristics are the short wheelbase, the low weight, the compact dimensions, aluminium engine construction and great roadholding capabilities. The Fulvia coupe was available with four-cylinder V-engines. The engine was available with three cylinder capacities; 1216 cc., de 1298 cc. and 1584 cc. 

 


Between the years 1968 and 1972 Lancia won lots of rallies with a special version of the Fulvia. The Lancia works-rally-cars were named Fulvia HF Fanalone. These rally cars were built with aluminium body parts, plastic windscreens and were equipped with a heavily tuned 1584 cc. V4 engine. Lancia managed to win the European rally championship three times and the world championship two times with the Fulvia...
